SUMMARY: The Skate Park Attendant is responsible for effectively communicating park rules, regulations and policies to skaters and spectators at the skate park.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Keeps the skate park and surrounding areas free from foreign debris.
- Makes sure the skate park is free of any safety concerns before skating is permitted.
- Maintains accurate shift reports, incident reports, accident reports, etc.
- Maintains a safe and secure environment for staff, spectators and participants.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma or GED is desired, or equivalent combination of experience and education. The applicant must posses a Florida driver’s license.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: The applicant must have the ability to develop and maintain good personal relationship with others, and communicate both orally and in writing.
REASONING ABILITLY: The applicant must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram forms. The applicant must also be able to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations when immediate guidance from the supervisor may not be available.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of City policy and procedures.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and participants.
- First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain such.
- Provide good customer service to participants.
- Must have the ability to follow written and oral directions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/ADA: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may reach, climb, walk, stand, stoop, drive, balance or push to complete job task. The employee may work in an office environment or outside in various weather conditions. The employee may work in or with moving vehicles and/or equipment. The employee may also come in contact with heights, electrical energy, poor lighting, darkness, odors, and may be required to have legs, feet, or hands in water while on the job.
