(DeLand, FL) – The City of DeLand and WCA are partnering to host a free community shred day for residents.
From 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, October 21, residents will be able to shred documents such as credit cards, old/voided checks, bank statements and anything containing personal information. Small staples, paper clips and prongs in folder or spiral notebooks are OK.
The shred location will be in the parking lot south of the Melching Field complex, 154 East Hubbard Avenue, DeLand.
Residents will also be able to pick up free mulch, which is being created using the debris created from Hurricane Irma. The mulch will be given away on a first come, first served basis. Residents should bring their own containers to haul the mulch.
