E-Lert 01/12/2010 Burglary Suspect Arrested Stone Street Neighborhood Watch Area

	City of DeLand Police e-Lerts E-Lert 01/12/10 Burglary Suspect Arrested - Stone Street Neighborhood Watch Area Tuesday 01/12/10 9:17 A.M. 200 Block South Stone Thanks to one of our residents who observed a suspicious subject in the area, the Patrol Division arrested a suspicious male seen loitering in the 200 block of South Stone Street. The witness observed the subject in the garage area of a home and observed him possibly leaving with some property. The resident was able to provide units responding to the area with the subject’s physical description and within minutes the subject was apprehended a few blocks away. With assistance to our resident / witness, Police Units were able to establish a burglary did occur and the subject was arrested and delivered  to the Volusia County Branch Jail. The subject arrested has a lengthy criminal history for crimes such as what occurred today. This incident and others that have just recently occurred show the importance of being involved in Neighborhood Watch and working with Police to catch criminals.
