The Volusia County Sheriff's Office, Criminal Intelligence Unit issued the following information request:
On January 20, 2010, a suspicious incident occurred on W. Lake Drive in Deland. A juvenile victim was approached by a white male suspect driving a newer model black shiny four door truck with chrome rims, tinted windows, and a loud dual exhaust. The suspect, described as a heavy-set white male with a round "dough-boy" face, thirty-forty years of age, brown hair and an unshaven short beard/five o'clock shadow questioned the juvenile about his missing puppy, and showed the juvenile a picture of a puppy. The suspect asked the juvenile if she had lost a puppy, and then asked if the juvenile would like to get inside his vehicle and help look for his
lost puppy. The juvenile ran to the neighbor's residence and the suspect fled in the vehicle at a high rate of speed northbound on Third Ave.
If anyone has an information regarding this incident, please contact Volusia County Sheriff's Office, District 2, Investigator Todd Raible at 386-943-7866
