E-Lert 08/25/2010 - Burglary in Cross Creek

	City of DeLand Police e-Lerts Burglary Cross Creek Subdivision Daytime Burglary Saturday 08/21/10 Incident Date: 8/21/10 Times of Incident: 1130 Am -1:00 PM Location:  1000 Blk. Marjorie Rawlings – Cross Creek Subdivision   Information:  A resident reported a burglary in the 1000 Blk of Marjorie Rawlings while got in the late morning to early afternoon. Entry to the residence was possibly by way of a unlocked door on the North side of the Garage. At the time of report, there were no other signs of forced entry. The suspects stole from the master bedroom, electronics, jewelry and used a pillow case from the residence to carry his/her stolen goods.   If you witness any suspicious activity in the area, please do not hesitate to call the Police Department at (386) 734-1711. Further information will be posted at it becomes available in these cases.   The Community Services office also offers free home security surveys for residents. The typical home security survey takes a little over an hour and will help residents identify any weaknesses in their home security procedures. Each officer that conducts the home security are certified by the Florida Attorney General to conduct home and business security audits.
