Information: During the nighttime hours, multiple vehicles were broken into at the Cascade Park Subdivision.
The average vehicle burglary takes just seconds to commit.
Crime Prevention Tips:
· Be hyper sensitive to suspicious vehicles and persons in the area. If possible get the tag on the vehicle and report it to the police department. If you see a suspicious person walking, please report it to the Police Department.
· Always remove valuable such as GPS, satellite radios, CD cases, cameras.
· Remove cell phone, GPS or other electronic power cords from plain sight. This is a invite to thieves that you have valuable electronics.
· Never leave wallets, purses, debit or credit cards in the vehicle, Thieves will find them.
· If you have an alarm system for your vehicle, activate it and use it.
· Leave some type of outside light covering the drive way, whether it be a motion or permanent on light.
· Always lock your vehicles.
Please note that the Police Department will be Patrolling in the area, but extra eyes and ears are needed. If you see anything suspicious please call the Police Department at (386) 734-1711.
